Do you need motivation to study?
I get messages from students every single day, saying that they’re not motivated, or they’ve lost motivation. They’re worried because without motivation, they’re not studying. What they’re hoping I can do is ‘motivate’ them so that they feel like studying again.
This is a bit of an oversimplification, but I think we’ve all been there. Waiting for the motivation we feel that we need, in order to do what we know we need to do.

Motivation doesn’t change the result of your studying. Motivation changes whether you START studying.
We’ve allowed ourselves to believe that BEFORE we can start anything, we must ‘feel’ like doing it. This isn’t going to help us, because there’s a lot of stuff out there we have to do, and we’re never really going to feel like it. Exercise, admin, paying bills, sitting in traffic, laundry, cooking! These are all things that have to be done, REGARDLESS of how we feel.
You are SUPER-motivated to get the qualification, I know that for sure! In order to get yourself there, you’re going to have to make the CHOICE to study. Every day.
You don’t ‘need’ motivation. You WANT motivation so that it can all feel easier, and smoother. This is where we start procrastinating. We find all sorts of reasons NOT to study, because in truth, we don’t ‘feel’ like it!
Make the choice. Choose to do the thing that’s going to get you closer to your goal. Remind yourself of that goal, of why you’re doing it. And then, make the choice!
No one said it was going to be easy. But it’s definitely worth doing!
