I wrote ITC last week and I am absolutely impressed with your course. I did other ITC courses before, but I can definitely say that for me this was the most valuable. I think what was notable is that every type of question asked in the ITC papers, was covered in the course. I can't think of one that wasn't covered. This means that you did a lot of homework and a lot of time was put into the preparation, which didn't make me feel like a generic course which some of the others feel like. What makes this course poignant is the fact that it teaches you skills rather than listing technical knowledge. I've been working for auditing firms for 6 years and on this journey for 10 years now and the one thing I have learned is that google can provide answers if you need them, but skills to go and search for those answers are absolutely key. It's the same with this course and the papers we wrote, I have knowledge, but writing this time around was a different experience, because I could identify what they wanted, rather than writing what I knew. And there is a big difference. I would also like to congratulate you on the structure of the course, because it's an active program rather than a passive one. So you kept my attention, which is very hard to do. Furthermore I would really like you to thank Yvonne as well, there is a big difference between a lecturer that talks with you and one that talks to you. I did the course by watching the videos and not live interaction, but not once was I consciously thinking that she talks to me, she understands why the student is in the position and then talks with you. She gives assurance of understanding your situation and then tries to help to correct it rather than pointing out what you do wrong. There is so much value in this, due to the fact that she is actually building confidence in each and everyone of the students. Also, the swearing helps, because let's be honest, that's what everybody is thinking. This course makes it okay to feel helpless (no judgement zone) and then takes that and builds a foundation of absolute skill and confident mindset.

I took heed of everything that Tabaldi taught me, i.e. using headings, tables, bullet points etc to formulate my structure in discussion questions and I also forced myself to answer all the easy things first and not necessarily answer in the order that was given in the scenario (as I have done so many times before and as a result, I have never finished the question). I have been singing your praises to everyone I have spoken to so hopefully those who write Board 1 next year will enrol for this ITC course!

Just have to share, I passed ITC first attempt!!! Your words of leaving the perfectionist at the door when writing an exam has still stuck with me, as well as looking for the easy marks. I did CTA L1 twice and CTA L2 twice, so passing this exam first time is just gratitude on another level ⭐ Thank you again for the impact you have made in my study career!!!!

I passed ITC!!!  Thank you so much for all your help and guidance. I would not have been able to do it without you. The effort and work you do is priceless and is going to help so many aspiring CA’s to achieve their dreams.

The good thing is that I am using the research method ONLY to study and it is going so well. I was able to get through Auditing over the weekend and I am finally up to date with the module and feel better prepared for the test. I have noticed that I get to understand concepts quicker/better and most importantly am able to apply the knowledge to questions much faster. I am even asking myself why I haven't used this method from the start. It is going so well and my test two result will speak for themselves. I even feel like I will do even better. lol. Thank you for your support. I am really feeling extra positive about my studies and funny enough, it makes me feel extra positive about life in general. My procrastination has also improved. It is not were I would like it to be yet but I am definitely putting in a lot of work and I am happy with the progress.

I passed ITC! How can I thank you for the constant push, involvement, companionship in this attempt... I think it is impossible. To think I was thinking of not writing. Looking back, the fight was amazing. I still maintain it is the exam technique that I hung onto. Remembering the conditions I was under for this fight and still crossed the line. I choose to take away from this the lessons we discussed, not only the result. Thank you Thank you Thank you  !  🙂

Your program helped me a lot,I love it. BMCR, communication, structure and planning did wonders for me.It was not easy but it was worth it. You guys are the best 👌, please continue teaching, motivating and being there for the students throughout this emotional process.

Having a coach like Yvonne played a great part in helping me regain the perspective I had lost over the years trying to achieve my goals. Yvonne is a great asset to have in your corner. She will always back you up and will go the extra mile to help you succeed and offer advice when needed. Yvonne, I would like to thank you for taking the time to listen to me and for all the advice you have given me in preparation for the ITC exam.

The tools and skills given to me by Tabaldi were not only academically focussed but had a dual purpose. The first was my personality which is what drives our studies and approaches to challenges. The second were tools on which I can improve and re-look at my study routine. The journey taken with Tabaldi will not be easy. Do not be afraid to engage them in the methods provided. Yvonne does understand individuality and will adapt her methods to help ease some challenges. The introspection needed will seem tiresome but so is failure and not knowing the reason for it. Search in the tools provided by Yvonne on general improvement and approaches to completing any task.

This helped me gain the confidence I needed to attempt ITC. Yvonne taught me the value of having a growth-mindset and how to apply the growth-mindset in the process of preparing for the exam. During the program I learned that the habits of how you learn may have a significant effect on your performance on the day. Her insights helped me to understand the “game” of examination and how to “play” it. I would recommend her program to any candidate at all levels of the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant, from undergrad to board examinations.

Everything mentioned there is a full description of me. Thank you so much ,I have started to do questions prior to lessons I feel like I'm on track and I understand better as the focus will be on the sections that I didn't do well and how I missed the point.

As I was watching the videos, I constantly thought that I've never consciously thought about the things you said... also how about 90% of the time my brain has manipulated me into avoiding difficult questions believing that "they won't pop up" or "they'll only hold about 7% of the entire paper". All in all the videos were a great watch and they already have me adjusting how I approach my studies.

My goodness, you hit the nail on the head. I can relate to almost everything you spoke about in these videos. My mindset is kind of fixed. I will not do a question If I feel I'm not ready. I'll be making summaries, revise, changing study plans and everything but doing questions. When I do eventually do the question and get stuck, its back to the drawing board, let me master the basics, more summaries and go through this whole cycle again. And when the exams are here, and I realise I need to do these questions after all and my summaries were just a waste of time or a negative coping mechanism to face reality.

The videos were really eye opening! haha... I'm finding it difficult to find words to articulate my gratitude. I echo most of the attendees sentiments, in that I am a perfectionist and have a fixed mindset. It was as if you were speaking directly to me. Not only is this going to help me with my studies, it is also going to help me in my life in general I believe. I'm doing CTA for the second time, I have put in more hours this year than I have ever done my entire school career, working much harder, but I am still failing and the feeling of Failing really sucks Yvonne, that's when I realised that I have a problem. I have a lot riding on me passing CTA this year, so there is also a lot of pressure.

Just to let you know, I'm pushing doing questions and starting to believe in myself! Confidence is slowly building up thank you so much to open my eyes and mind. I'm positive and trust this new way of studying cause I can now identify my knowledge gap easily and quick I'm looking forward to improved results

These tasks are very productive for me! All the tasks provided have specific skills that help me with my 'problems'. I'm finding it very valuable, no one has ever taken the time to discuss the softer skills of exam technique, which I really find super useful. Having that extra support, knowing that it was not an easy road for you as well, and not been judged when one has those 'dumb' questions is a real plus. Getting this far for me, has really not been easy.

The Tabaldi course is a game changer. I really have some extraordinary tools that I never had when i wrote the board or CTA all those years ago. I am really seeing the value in doing questions, just techniques to get the easy marks. Whenever I see a question that freaks me out, now I KNOW FOR A FACT THERE are some BASIC marks I can get. That really calms me down. Plus the fact that actually I have the answers in the handbooks - using the index has also really helped.
